Back to Tribute Album
"As a child my family and I sang Barry's music wherever we went
because the songs were fun, silly, catchy, and wonderfully naughty.
These many years later I find his music as fun as ever, but I now
experience his artistry from an adult perspective. I am consistently
moved by the beauty and purity of his melodies, and the intensely
heartfelt and remarkably insightful lyrics about love, friendship,
family dynamics, and collaboration. The diversity of the musical
contributions to the tribute album proves that Barry's work transcends
demographics and speaks to the heart...and the funny bone.

Deborah Berman and the Nogoodniks
Deborah Berman and the Nogoodniks have recorded a Klezmer version of Barry's song Don't Put Your Finger Up Your Nose sung entirely in Yiddish. This wonderfully inspired rendition is called Shtek Nit Dayn Finger in Der Noz. Deborah and her brother Richard were early fans, listening to Barry's songs on his original recordings as young children.
